Doctors at UMG hospital’s chain faciloties have begun using artificial intelligence to detect depression and anxiety disorders in their early stages. To do this, specialists use UMG proprietary platform, Mindconnect, which assesses the risk of developing mental disorders and provides assistance at the earliest possible stage. The platform was developed by an international team of mental health and data science specialists. Mindconnect helps doctors identify which clients need the help of a mental health specialist, so they can provide timely intervention and effective digital solutions to combat depression and anxiety. The platform uses artificial intelligence to identify people at increased risk for depression and anxiety disorders. If a person falls into the risk group, they are offered a personalized digital program, which they use under the supervision of a doctor. Mindconnect includes tools for monitoring the patient's emotional state and a specialized program for preventing the further development of depressive and anxiety disorders. If a client's condition doesn't improve or worsens within two months, the case manager recommends seeing a psychiatrist. In addition to its features aimed at supporting users' mental health, Mindconnect also allows doctors to focus entirely on patient care by streamlining processes with AI.
