New Hepatology Center

The main goal of the new division is to help patients maintain health and a full lifestyle for years to come, and to address any health issues that arise promptly and effectively. Unfortunately, the majority of patients diagnosed with hepatitis are young, working-age individuals. Currently, adolescents aged 15–19 and young adults aged 20–29 are at risk. Viral hepatitis B, C, and D remain one of the most significant public health problems worldwide: over 500 million people suffer from chronic forms of these diseases. UMG Hepatology Center provides comprehensive, specialized consultative, diagnostic, and therapeutic care to patients with liver diseases. A number of the technologies used at the center are unique and have proven their effectiveness in clinical practice worldwide. The UMG Hepatology Center specializes in the treatment of autoimmune and drug-induced hepatitis, hemochromatosis and other metabolic diseases, alcoholic liver disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and chronic viral hepatitis B, C, D, E, and TTV. Modern genetic analysis methods allow for the optimization and personalization of therapy and the reduction of the risk of side effects from pharmacological treatment. The center offers extensive laboratory and instrumental diagnostic capabilities for liver diseases, including the assessment of its functional and anatomical features.
